American musician and actor Awkwafina debuted with sly hip-hop tracks that addressed sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans.
