Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, the American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as a film actress due to her role as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in film, theater, and TV. Her career began as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV series, mainstream and independent films. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered critical acclaim, but she also received a number of awards. She began her career as an actor in the year 1995, when she appeared as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. She has performed in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her performances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In television, her role in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
