Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. She was one of three sisters. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten when she was five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. In addition, she competed in and won the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone together with her aunt in 1977, made the move into New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week later. Then, she moved to Europe, spending a year living in Milan and Paris. Stone but was dissatisfied with Europe in the modeling industry and opted to go into acting.
